at last after so long , i can conclude about the 1st event i had in UTAR.
it was Chinese Culture Week & Chinese Culture Night .
It was UTAR 1st MEGA event!
And i was the only Foundation Student in the committee member ^^
Jason ( the chairman ) approach me at my house during a BBQ party .

jason: hey winn nie , do u want to join in our Mooncake Festival Night committee?
me: wooo.. ok ok ..
jason: u will be the assistant decoration manager .
me : woa.. okok no prob ..



that time i dint really tnk much than i just say OK!
never thought that my 1st yr in UTAR will organize an event .
that time was July i tnk .
and the event will be held on oct .
after the 1st meeting we had in 1957 ,
we get to know our committee members.
my deco manager is Jae Khor ( FUTURE roommate )
she is a nice & easy person! hehe
than me & jae had our 1st meeting together with her helper at my hse .
we planned everything ..
planned for the backdrop ,deco around block c.
BUT!
just after we finished planned everything ,
the following we got news said that they changed the Mooncake Festival Night to
CHINESE CULTURE WEEK & NIGHT!
and it will be held at UTAR SPORT COMPLEX & BLOCK C ..
we ( deco ) was so SHOCKED to know this news.
we need to CHANGED all our plan & we need to have the BEST plan for deco.
because it will be the 1st MEGA event in utar
SPORT complex is really a BIG place that can fit 1500++ students .
we CCW committees estimated 1500 students to attend this event .
after quite a period , they set the date for the event .
it was on the 2nd NOV to 4th NOV.
between 2th to 4th , there will be campaign held at block C
then 4th NIGHT will be at complex.
hmm .. i really quite lack of idea for the deco .
my 1st time to join DECO which i dint touch ARTS for a very long time .
my brain was BLUR .
LUCKY got Jae & her helper for the idea.
actually my idea was not bad .
draw a CHINESE FAN on the backdrop .
BUT ... the backdrop was too BIG!
it was 2.4m x 10m
a very very big backdrop .
so at last they found a simply but elegant backdrop .
so we were divided into 2 groups of helper.
one is JAE's
one is Mine
Jae's helper will be doing the BIG backdrop
while mine will be helping those small easier stuff.
there were 26 helpers! thanks them a lot in this event!!!!
one of the thing mine helpers did was the Fun Raising TREE.
a very HUGE tree that used 3 days to finish it!haha
hmm i was quite sorry about the tree .
the 1st & 2nd day of doing that tree , i was not able to go and help.
i was having exam & sick . sorry for not helping out .
BUT the 3rd day , we ( me , jae , dar & melvyn ) spent 6 hours o finished GUM the tree,
after gum everything , it really looks like a TREE.haha
quite a hard work to finished the tree!yeah!

all the helpers also helped out flipping the BIRD for the tree.
took our whole night just to finish the birds .
that was the 1st deco stuff we did .

then followed by the 礼义廉耻 & the mascot
that night , jae's helpers drew all the mascot & painted them
while mine was at 2nd floor doing the board for the opening ceremony .
i never thought that the BOARD really used up WHOLE night to finished it
from the 1st part , washed the bamboo
then trace the words , paint the words
last was to stick the bamboo to the board.
eventually , the 1st night we just finish 80% of it.
cus of lack of bamboo.so we finished the 20% the next day.

then the most important backdrop started to paint it 1 week before the event!
was a rush !haha ..
but we deco team divided properly our job .
we shared all the job...
again , i need to say sorry ...
was having exam that period .
so i dint helped out for one night ..sorry ...
for the last few days.
we everyday do until MORNING 4 to 5 am ..
really need to FINISHED it!
and my hse was so so so messy .
the floor was full of colour.
news papers all around , paint all around.
EVERYTHING was all around .
it was like treasure hunting to find the things we need..
i never see a HOUSE so messy b4 . it was my 1st TIME!
the last week preparation time was so PACK .
we rarely have enough sleep especially JAE.
she really missed her class , lack of sleep!
really admire her ! she really got the EQ to stay focus !
full of ideas ! haha ..! reaally a great person , great sis ! haha
we managed to finished the backdrop 1 day early .
it was really very nice! THUMBS UP!
on that day , 4th nov , we deco team started to decorate the complex at 1.30pm till 7pm.
woa.! really rushed & tired!
for only the SMALL鼓 we also used 1 night plus to finished 6 of them
until the end , i repaint & repair some of the part ! was fun to paint !!! yeah!
hmm i expected to finish the decoration by 4.30pm.
BUT , hmm nope . we by 7pm than really finish decorate .
i though of hanging the lantern only need max 15min .
BUT until the end i used 35min to hang up all the lanterns .
lucky got hang up the lanterns .. they really bring up the feel !
but i only managed to hang 70 lanterns.
the rest hmm lack of time & helpers.
i love the most was the SMALL鼓! hehe ..
duno y , from far we look really nice! haha .

two weeks before the event ,
our chairman , Jason planned a Team Building game for us .
hmm nt bad ! quite fun! BUT wrong timing for that .
cus left 2 more weeks , & we were all so busy for the preparation .
BUT glad to attend the game although tat time i just recovered from fever .
that night i really KNOW all the committee !haha ...
love the most wast the cooking the egg with 2 boxes of matches !haha
my group was the only group that managed to cook the egg !hehe ^^
was a great night ! hehe . thx jason for that ^^

on the 2nd nov , it was the opening of our Chinese Culture Week.
went to campus for last preparation by 10.30am.
checked everything ! make sure that everything we need were there.
all the committee wore Formal! haha .
my 1st time to wear for sem 2 . ^^
the opening started at 12pm sharp .
speeches gave Chinese Society Adviser Ms.Tan , then by President of Chinese society than last was Jason , chairman of Chinese Culture Week .
than here comes the 点字仪式 by Ms.Tan .

after that followed by all kind of performances .

there were 4 pairs of ppl same name .haha
1st : 2 Jessica , Jessica Teh , Jessica Ng
2nd : 2 James . James Kerk , James Wong
3rd : 2 Winn Nie , Winn Nie , Winnie
4th : 2 Sam
a unique committee members! haha
hmm, i never thought that 品冠 will eventually agreed to come UTAR to perform.

b4 the night of CCN , we had 彩排。。
hmm was ok only . cus the PA there got prob . haha...
but was a fun night! we stayed there until 33o am again! haha
had the last meeting & we distributed our T-shirt.

after for months busy preparation .
at last it was the day !!! the day every1 waited so long !!!
all the committees & helpers helped out for the last preparation .
managed to finished all the deco at 6.45pm ! haha
after that we rushed back to get ready ourselves as 礼义廉耻!

was a great experience to organize a MEGA event!
this is much more BIGGER than last time my PROM night! haha .. still go alot of things need to learn from all the seniors !yeah!!!! hope that we got CHANCE to work again! all THE BEST!!!!
